Ysgol Glan Morfa Parents Association: Together Building a Stronger School Community

At Ysgol Glan Morfa, we believe that a strong partnership between parents, staff, and the community plays a vital role in enriching the educational experience of our children. The Ysgol Glan Morfa Parents Association is a key part of this vision, working collaboratively to support the school, foster a sense of community, and create opportunities that benefit all our pupils.

What is the Parents Association?

The Ysgol Glan Morfa Parents Association is a group of dedicated parents, carers, and staff members who volunteer their time and energy to organise activities and raise funds for the school. The PA’s goal is to enhance the school environment and help provide resources that directly benefit our children’s education and wellbeing.

Our Purpose and Aims

The PA has several core aims:

  • Supporting the school: We work closely with the teaching staff and administration to understand the school’s needs and priorities, ensuring that our efforts align with the goals of Ysgol Glan Morfa.
  • Fundraising for school projects: From new equipment to special projects, the PA raises funds through events like bake sales, school fairs, and fun days. These efforts have helped provide essential learning resources, fund school trips, and support extracurricular activities.
  • Building community: We aim to create a warm and inclusive environment where families can connect, make friends, and get involved in school life. Our events are designed to bring parents, carers, pupils, and staff together, strengthening the sense of belonging and collaboration within our school community.
  • Providing a voice for parents: The PA also acts as a platform for parents to express their views, ask questions, and share ideas. We encourage open communication and collaboration with the school leadership to ensure that parents feel heard and engaged in their children’s education.

How We Help

In recent years, the Parents Association has supported a wide range of initiatives, including:

  • Funding new playground equipment
  • Organising after-school clubs and workshops
  • Supporting class trips and educational visits
  • Contributing to technology upgrades for classrooms
  • Hosting fun-filled community events like the Summer Fair, Christmas Market, and quiz nights

How You Can Get Involved

The Ysgol Glan Morfa Parents Association is always open to new members, and we welcome any level of involvement. Whether you can help by volunteering at events, offering your skills and expertise, or simply attending meetings to share your thoughts, your contribution will make a difference. Joining the PA is a fantastic way to meet other parents, get to know the school better, and have a direct impact on your child’s educational experience.

Together for Our Children’s Future

At Ysgol Glan Morfa, we are proud of our close-knit community and the incredible support of our parents. The Parents Association plays a crucial role in maintaining this community spirit and ensuring that our children have access to the best possible learning environment. We invite all parents and carers to get involved and help us continue to make Ysgol Glan Morfa an exceptional place to learn and grow.
