Will you be looking for wraparound childcare for your 3 or 4 year old from September 2024 to July 2025?

Cylch Meithrin Ysgol Glan Morfa provides wrap around to children who attend the school morning and afternoon nursery sessions. We are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales and are also enrolled with the the Childcare Offer.

When will it be open?

The Cylch Meithrin is open 8:45- 12:00pm a 12:00-3:00pm Monday to Friday term-time only. Children are able to attend Cylch in the morning have their lunch and then go straight to nursery. Alternatively they are able to attend Nursery in the morning have their lunch and then come to Cylch for the afternoon session. We ask that you provide the packed lunch.

How much will it cost?

Those who are eligible for the 30 hours free Childcare Offer won’t have to pay for the sessions, although a small charge of 75p a day for snacks will apply. Snack includes fruit and vegetables and some sort of carbohydrate and water or milk during each session.

We are able to accept children the day after their 3rd birthday in preparation for when the start in the nursery the following term. The cost is as above.

What happens at Cylch?

Our sessions include free play, singing and story time, creative activities such as drawing, painting, colouring, crafts, dancing and also messy play with play dough, gloop, shaving foam etc. The children have opportunities to play in the sand and water. We have access to the yard including the climbing frame and slide and the forest area. We also have a separate outdoor area that is partly covered and has a mud kitchen. The children have access to the fenced off outdoor area and can go in and out as they please. We do a lot of child led activities by observing the children and listening to them and their interests.
